Banking Through Generations

Today, Hawaii National Bank is run by its third generation. We continue to embrace history while evolving for the future, keeping pace with technological innovation while retaining our philosophy of highly personalized service that keeps the banker in banking.

Origins

Hawaii National Bank was founded by K.J. Luke, a Big Island boy with humble, immigrant roots who established himself as one of Hawaii's savviest businessmen and real estate investors. In 1959, he saw an opportunity to build a new bank to take advantage of a booming economy and the opportunities of statehood.
